Design flaws

Day 1 of use, I noticed a nasty scratch on the strip that separates the stove top and the front controls. I figured it was me being not careful enough, until I saw a smaller scratch on the right side of the strip right above the larger heating element. If you are using a big pot or skillet, i will actually butt against this stip because the strip is too close to the heating element. And the finish is very thin. One nasty bump is enough to scratch that strip. Feature wise, the oven is awesome. You need to be diligent is clean the stove top and the control panel.

My last convection oven starting burning items to went looking for something new. This updated design with the electronic controls on the front is nice. I also love the Air fry option setting b/c now I can get rid of another countertop appliance. Only thing to be cautious of is the soft touch buttons to turn on burners. They can turn on easily and would be in reach of small children but I use the control lock all the time just to avoid that scenario. Otherwise - super happy with the purchase so far.

We had to buy another stove because of my SI Double Oven PS960SLSS which bought in 2020 for $ 1997.87 caught fire in the back circuit board. Repair man could not locate a new board so we had to buy another oven, not the same because of the price had soared to $2799.00. We ended up purchasing a less costly option at $1798.88. We had to get another GE Profile to match the entire kitchen. Wish the product was repairable

That said the control panel area is tough to keep clean. With all the touching and regulating you get a lot of fingerprints. Constant cleaning is required to keep a nice clean looking appearance..

Why a customer is REQUIRED to hook their stove up to the internet if they want to use the air fryer is invasive and involves a pain in the rear setup process that took a walk through with a customer service rep to make happen. GE figures I'll want to purchase more "smart" appliances. Meanwhile I figure my stove is spying on me. The material on the stove top needs to be less sensitive to spills. Purchased the stove for the top side controls - it's the best feature.

No separate appliance taking up counter space. The convection performance has been solid across the few weeks I've had it. The look is clean and modern. It fits well in my kitchen and the fingerprint-resistant finish lives up to its name. My one criticism: I have a GE Profile over-the-range microwave installed directly above this unit. The cooktop buttons are extremely sensitive, and reaching into the microwave regularly triggers the oven or burners to turn on. It's a safety concern worth noting if you have a similar setup. I've had this range for just over 90 days. I would not recommend purchasing it. #1 - the cooktop surface is NOT smooth. It is difficult to clean. I've had a glass cooktop for almost 20 years so I know how easily it should clean. #2 - I have never been able to use the air-fryer feature. Registering the product is required. Then getting on "Smart Appliance" is required Except each time I try to scan the QR code to activate the "Smart Appliance" it prompts me to register the alliance. Around and around we go. #3- today I have a tech coming to assess why the rear left burner is not working. I'm not a happy purchaser of this appliance

The control panel does get dirty every time we cook, but just push Lock Controls button on panel and it can be cleaned without any problems. I have not had any problems with surface cleaning. Range cooking surface still looks new with proper care and cleaning! Oven has been used a few times and is working fine. We love all of the extra features is range has.

I got my FIRST new stove on Nov. 24,2025, it completely shut down 3 weeks later on Dec. 15,2025. GE could send repair on Dec. 23 ( 2 days before Christmas.!)So I called the authorized dealer where I bought the stove, Gerhard Appliances. They came on Dec, 17. it was "Mother board". Ordered part, came again on Dec. 22, couldn't fix. I was really upset because of Christmas without a stove. I asked for a loaner stove, I was told "they (dealer)doesn't do that". I was told that GE requires that a technician has to try to fix 2 times before I could get a new stove. Repair came out again on Jan. 5 couldn't fix. GE didn't care, Gerhard didn't care, that we had no stove thru the holidays. GE finally approved a new stove which was delivered on Jan. 12, 2026. So far it's working, that's all I can say. The whole episode had left me quite disappointed.

Malfunctioning after 7 days

Bought this range December 26th got it delivered December 31st Jan 7 it turned on by itself without anyone present! Almost burned down my house a lot of back and forth™€¦ got a replacement but still no answer about the damages the fire caused™€¦. According to the insurance the technician can™€™t diagnose the error it needs to be sent in™€¦ it™€™s been 2 weeks and still no answer™€¦ It was Error Code E27 which is the keypad error™€¦ and when I called the tech company they said they can™€™t give me the findings in writing because GE customer relations are involved™€¦ I am ready to get a lawyer and sue! Do not buy this range!

Overall, the oven is just OK. It does not have a self-cleaning program, and the steam clean feature is useless. The air fry feature, however, is very good. The oven itself does not run very hot, but the convection feature works well. There is a way to lock the controls to prevent accidental turn-on, which is helpful. The interior is spacious and large enough to hold multiple trays at once.

Our first GE Profile electric stove PC board fried just short of the 5 year mark however we did not buy the extended warranty. Lesson learned. Because we enjoyed all features of this stove and it's slick look, we decided to purchase the same stove with the 5 year warranty. We learned most of these stoves only last 5 years so we were willing to enjoy the same stove. From the convection oven, wifi feature, slick control panel and easy to clean glasstop we look forward to enjoying ourcstove.

Nice features; horrible burner controls

Oven size is fine. Have only used the convection once and it was ok. The burner options are great, however the controls are AWFUL. Tap up, tap down to change settings...easier if you have a conrol dial. When cleaning the section with controls, wiping across turns the controls on so you have to turn them off. Haven't used the bridge burner feature so probably should have purchased a lower end midel.

Control lock

I like the control lock feature our other stove didn™€™t have it and it was too easy to accidentally turn it on. One negative for me is the size of the window when I turn on the oven light. I have to bend down pretty far to see inside. The window is not large enough.

DANGEROUS CONTROLS!!!

I really want to love this range and I do really like it other than the controls are dangerous. I have owned this range for about a year and a half and have tried to burn the house down with it more than once. At first, we laughed at me for being an overweight oaf and turning on or adjusting burners with my belly but it stopped being funny when others started doing it and damage started being done to non-cookware items sitting on the stovetop. Being a professional techie, I was excited about the touch controls and the app integration then I found out how few things could be done with the app and how dangerous the touch controls are. I know there™€™s a lock, but that™€™s all or nothing so while cooking, a misplaced hand or even a cookware lid and whoops, an unexpected burner is on. We have found a couple things that can be used as covers to stop the controls from accidentally activating but I am honestly at the point where I™€™m ready to eat the cost of this and find something new.

Love the range, hate with a passion the registration and trying to set up an account to use the Bluetooth, so if you buy it for that reason move on , their set up still is not complete and I have had it for 3 months and have yet to even see the menu to turn it on remotely

The product is great. Your manual and having to use Smart HQ app / wi fi for the air fry mode is a joke. I have registered the products, downloaded the app and still dont know how to turn the air fry on. Also, if I have to use an app to use the air fry, the least you could do is to have a HOW TO Video that shows how to use the various cooking modes. DO NOT FORGET THE many SENIORS THAT ARE NOT PHONE OR COMPUTER SAVY!!

no ability to clean oven

The range and oven seem to work just fine. controls are very easy to use. our only issue is the steam clean setting for the oven. completely useless, with no other choice to clen the oven. This is a huge disadvantage.

I love most everything about this stove. As an older adult, I find the touch at the front of the stove problematic due to the reach to back burners and the barrier it creates to lifting a pan or baking sheet out of the oven and onto the cooktop. Tesponse tome of burners is great as are the many options to adjust for pan size. Holiday cookie baking was perfect! Stove came with a temperature probe but appears not to have this function as there™€™s no outlet for the probe. I™€™m learning g how to keep the keypad clean but it™€™s a challenge I didn™€™t have with a range with the panel at the rear. Am just beginning to learn to use convection function. Convection bake for the turkey was great! Really like the covered bottom element even though it might be why the oven takes much longer to preheat. Like having three oven racks.

I purchased this for my new home. Today 12/31/25 I attempted to cook dinner. The burner turned on and worked for about an hour. When I turned the convection oven on the burner turned off and would not allow me to turn back on. Within 10 minutes the convection oven went off. At this time none of the controls would work.About 5 minutes later they allowed me to turn them on but flashed off and I have not been able to use the stove.
