Broiler drawer has replaced the storage drawer.

It's really crazy that the broiler drawer has replaced the storage drawer. Whoever thought of this must not broil very often. The salesperson was unable to give me any info where the broiler drawer was located. I would not have purchased this product had I known the location of the broiler.

Love my new GE stove!

Previous to this stove I had another brand that only lasted 8 years. I don't know why I wavered from GE, but now I'm back! I like EVERYTHING about this stove, even down to the simplest thing as setting the clock!! The controls have a small diagram next to each one, so there is no guessing if you're turning on the back or the front burner. This stove also has more room for the pots not to butt up against each other like my old stove, I guess GE configures things a little smarter. I'm also a fan of the oven racks (who would think this would even be an issue) my last stove, the racks were spaced too far apart and I had to resort to putting a cookie cooling rack on top of the stoves rack, GE 's racks are spaced perfectly and are sturdy too. Thanksgiving turned out to be a dream with the oven's capacity to accommodate anything that I needed it to. ..love my new GE stove!

Solid stove and easy to use

Not even had it a week so cannot attest to its longevity, but so far so good. Oven lights quickly and all burners work. The reason for 4 stars is the very short power cable that it comes with. Luckily I had an extension cord available so the appliance installers could finish their job.

Setup Not Straightforward

I converted it from Natural Gas to Propane, good thing I had 9/32" or 7mm sockets to change out the orifices under the burners and 1/4" nut drivers to remove the cover inside the oven. I had to find the owner's manual online to figure out how to take off the door. That instruction should come in the directions for the conversion because you really need to take the door off to get to the pressure regulator. So on the side of the hinge it says lock with no mention of UNLOCK. Push that piece up to unlock on both hinges and then barely open it 3 inches and pull the door out. Now step 3 is poorly written, it says "Turn the metal cap so the type of gas being converted to is displayed". What it should say is FLIP the cap upside down to change it to the other type of gas and when you flip it you can see the type of gas is read right side up. NG will be upside down and LP will be right side up then screw it back in and put the plastic cap back on. And leveling the range is a literal PAIN. You will need gloves or one of those rubbery jar openers because it is like they made the leveling feet out of razor blades. It isn't a nice plastic gear like most appliances. The feet are made of metal with jagged skin ripping edges. Oh and make sure you have a level on hand for the setup too.

This is a basic gas stove. I have baked a lot of Christmas treats already. It reaches temperature quickly, bakes evenly. Burners ignite almost instantly. Pots and pans sit evenly on the grates, which there are two, and cover the stovetop. It is not self cleaning and does not have a 5th burner or warmer. We found we did not use these features on the last two ovens we purchased over the last 24 years. I find self cleaning ovens get dangerously hot, and don™€™t do that great of a job. I am very happy with this model.

It is good to have an oven that heats up quickly and maintains the correct temperature. The unit has plenty of room in the oven and the stove top is better than the old ones with the individual grates for each burner. The electronics are simple and easy to work, and the clock light is bright enough that it looks like a night lite with the house lights off

Reasonable and Fits our Needs

We needed a reasonable stove for cottage. This stove was reasonable and seem to have all the features that we would need. I would prefer if the broiler was not at the bottom as a pull out drawer, and also that the oven had an interior light. But other than that, it fits our needs. The grates on the top look nice, but food does slip down and it's a little harder to keep clean. We did ask the salesperson at Home Depot if they felt this was a good stove and whether they received many complaints and we were advised they felt it was a good stove for the money so we purchased it.

I was surprised when shopping for a new range how many didn't include what I thought of as standard items. This oven meets my requirements and does what I need. I'm pleased with the look of it and love the larger front burner. It heats water quickly. Appreciate the clock and digital controls. Wish the broiler was in the oven instead of in the bottom drawer, but we don't broil much so not a big deal. While part of me likes the continuous grates on the top, I am still getting used to them. It means lifting the large grate to clean underneath, and I don't feel comfortable leaving my spoon rest on the stove since the grates conduct heat.
