I bought the exact same refrigerator that was here in my condo when I bought it 5 years ago. The gentleman that sold me the condo was here for 9 years and the fridge was here when he bought it. So at least 14 years old. In doing some research, I found out that the fridge was 19 years old. I do believe I could have had it repaired and gotten a year or so more but I am 79 yo and decided to go for the new one. I have limitations as far as width and from what I'm told, GE is the only company to make this model. The old one served me well and I look forward to growing old with this one. General Electric makes a good product. I am very happy with my new refrigerator.

Motor is too loud

Product arrived on Oct 29, after a 24 day delay from date of payment. Motor is so loud that I don't like being in my kitchen. Listened to a few other refrigerators and I believe something is wrong. I will call for service.

Control panel problems

worst experience with appliance from GE. Model GTS18GTNGRWW. Control board set at 3 by GE. After a month or two when it seems drinks are not as cold as before I notice the refrigerator is down to 2. Control board replaced 3 times and about to be replaced again. Being told nothing wrong with refrigerator was told by one customer service rep that this never happened before. Accused of turning it down. Have had more problems with this one refrigerator than I have had with all my other appliances in the past 40 years. Guess I got a lemon. I was told refrigerator will not be replaced I will just have to check the nob periodically and keep turning it up myself going forward if the 4th control board does not correct the problem. My trust in GE has deteriorated immensely.

We just bought this fridge a day ago. So far, everything works well. Ice maker seems a bit small, but time will tell if it can keep up with what we normally use. The glass shelves are hefty and can be easily moved, and once in place are well secured. It seems large enough for what we need. It seems to run quietly, with the exception of the ice maker. But it™€™s noise is expected and not annoying. Overall, we are happy with the product at its price point. We are looking forward to many years of use.

With only 3 weeks of use and the refrigerator is already having problems. A loud noise in the freezer fan area. Apparently it is not doing the defrost cycle. The warranty has already been notified. They take 5 days to come.

We use this refrigerator as a second fridge for our family. The height is a bit more than the one we had previously, but it fits in our space and the additional storage space is great. We especially appreciate that there are three shelves in the door, and one shelf works great for tall bottles, and one is for small items. This fridge is an upgrade from our previous model both in design and efficiency.

Nice Solid Fridge

This is a nice, solid basic fridge that I bought to replace my aging 17 year old model. It's slightly smaller in dimensions than my old fridge, but that's okay because I have a small kitchen, so it gives me a tad more room. The interior shelves are slightly smaller than my old model, but the door shelves are larger. Honestly I would have rather had more room in the interior than on the door, but that's just my preference. And it's a little louder when running, but nothing that's intolerable. The one thing I do not like about this fridge is the LED lighting inside; it gives the interior a slight blue-ish cast. And I like that it's made in the US.
